Big Events

The objective of the Big Events team is to plan and organize large-scale events that promote different themes of the chapter. Through these events, we spread awareness of our organization and its various missions such as the Global Engineering Initiative, our African programs and Fair Trade Waterloo. Furthermore, our goal is to leave a lasting impact on both members and non-members, encouraging them to go and learn more about Engineers Without Borders and get involved.

If you have a knack for project management, an endless outlet of imaginative ideas or are looking to finally put those marketing and advertising skills to the test, then Big Events is where you belong. Even if none of these skills pertain to you, we still offer plenty of opportunities for members to become actively involved. Some tasks that you would perform as a member include brainstorming ideas for events, planning the tiny details of each event and finally, promoting the events through the use of posters, banners and good old conversation. Did we mention that we also do Pancake Breakfasts each term?

The current B stream Big Events team lead is Clement Fung. The A-Stream Lead is Robin Liu.
