Every week EWB will bring you sounds that help you "be orange". That is:

1) Make informed Consumer Choices realizing how what we buy affects others overseas.
2) Perform our Civic duties by Using our power as citizens to get our leaders to make change.
3) Identifying and channeling your personal impact; that is, living what you believe, and sharing that with others.

Show 5 - November 17th, 2008

BANANA FEST - The objective of this event is to raise awareness for promoting the sale and distribution of fair trade bananas in local grocery stores in Kitchener-Waterloo. This event addresses many important issues such as ensuring fair, consistent wages and safe working conditions for the workers in developing countries. Once a thousand signatures of support have been collected, they will be compiled with a cover letter and relevant information before being delivered to representatives from the major grocery chains.
